WTTG’s New D.C. Digs Puts All Eyes On The Newsroom
Fox Television Stations’ WTTG-WDCA Washington duopoly moved into its new home in suburban Bethesda, Md., in late July, a facility that puts its assignment desk, technical operations center and news sets at the architectural center.

The Fox-owned duopoly will relocate its operation and studio facilities to a new complex developed by Carr Properties in Bethesda, Md., according to a letter of intent. The stations, which have operated from their current Wisconsin Ave. location since 1966, will move to a new home along the Metro’s red line in June 2021.

WBRC Resurrects Rejected Super Bowl Spot
After Fox turned down a Super Bowl spot from Birmingham, Ala.-based Fixed Point Foundation suggesting people check out the meaning of “John 3:16,” the group went local, buying time on Birmingham Fox affiliate WBRC and has approached Fox O&O WTTG Washington. Next year, the group’s executive director says, Fixed Point won’t even attempt to place the ad within the Super Bowl, but will buy time to air the same ad in more local markets where the getting is easier, and cheaper.
