New Openings For General Managers In Northeast
New jobs posted to TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center include openings for general managers at Nexstar’s NBC and CBS affiliates in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and the other for a large broadcast company in a growing market in the Northeast.
Steve Daniloff, an executive with more than 25 years of local broadcasting and sales management experience, is promoted to VP-GM of WBRE and WYOU. He succeeds Robert Bee who has been promoted to VP-GM of Nexstar’s ABC affiliate WHTM Harrisburg, Pa.
A new long-term agreement extends affiliation for five stations owned or operated by Nexstar: KGPE Fresno, Calif.; KREX Grand Junction, Colo; KLAS Las Vegas; WTAJ Altoona, Pa.; and WYOU Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pa.

WBRE, WYOU To Launch HD Newscasts
The Nexstar NBC-CBS duopoly in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pa., will debut HD news on April 2. In addition, it is adding two new half-hours of WBRE-produced news for WYOU weekdays at noon and 7 p.m.
Nexstar Names Robert Bee WBRE-WYOU GM
