‘Yellowstone’ Sets Production Date For Final Episodes

Taylor Sheridan‘s Paramount Network megahit will resume production on its final episodes in the late spring of 2024. Yellowstone, earlier this month, had set a premiere date of November 2024 for the second half of its fifth and final season, which last aired its midseason finale Jan. 6, 2023, and will usher in the end of the series.

Final ‘Yellowstone’ Episodes Delayed Until Late 2024 Due To Hollywood Strikes

The long-awaited final installment of Yellowstone — featuring Kevin Costner ‘s final episodes — has been delayed until November 2024, the Paramount Network announced Thursday. Originally scheduled to return this month, Paramount says production was delayed by this year’s strikes by actors and screenwriters. The first half of the fifth season debuted in November 2022.

CBS To Start Season 2 Of ‘Yellowstone’ On Oct. 29

Yellowstone will continue on CBS, as season two of the cable Western drama premieres on CBS Sunday, October 29. With scripted shows in short supply amidst the writers and actors strikes, Yellowstone premiered on CBS Sept. 17. The season one finale runs on CBS Sunday, Oct. 22. Close to 21.6 million viewers have watched at least one episode on CBS, according to the network, and 52% of them are new to the show.

Taylor Sheridan’s hit drama Yellowstone made its broadcast debut on CBS last week, with an average 6.6 million viewers tuning in to watch the series premiere that first aired on Paramount Network five years ago. That number decreased to a still-solid 5 million with Episode 2 on Sunday night, and it seemed likely that a chunk of the viewers who dropped off — especially from within the 3 million viewers who had never seen the show before — may have opted to stream the show at their own pace on Peacock instead of returning to CBS.
