AWS’ Statton, SDVI’s Eldridge To Join Speaker Lineup For ‘Building ROI Into Your Media Supply Chain’ Webinar

Two executives with extensive experience in broadcast technology and cloud workflows will participate as speakers in a TVNewsCheck webinar set for Thursday at 1 p.m. ET. They join executives from Sky and Global Eagle, who will talk about what they have learned building IP supply chains for media companies. Evan Statton, principal architect, media & entertainment at AWS, and Simon Eldridge, chief product officer at SDVI Corp., will be joining TVNewsCheck’s Thursday Working Lunch Webinar, Building ROI Into Your Media Supply Chain, as speakers.

Statton and Eldridge join a panel that also includes senior executives from Sky and Global Eagle to talk about their experiences building media supply chains that not only streamline operations, but also are ready to facilitate new revenue streams.

Speakers

Dave Travis is Group Director of Content, Broadcast & Platforms for Sky. He leads the product and technology teams across production, news, origination, content supply chain and distribution for all of the Sky businesses including Sky Sports, Sky News, Now TV, Sky Content, Sky Media, and Sky Creative. Within Dave’s team, he is responsible for Strategy, Design, Implementation, and Support across the on-prem and cloud estates for UK, Germany and Italy.

Travis is a highly experienced broadcast executive with over 20 years’ experience working at board level for numerous companies with excellent technical and commercial skills. His passion is building platforms that deliver consistent and efficient working practices within technology organisations.

Travis previously was Chief Product & Technology Officer for Red Bee Media which was a broadcast managed services provider serving over 80 customers including companies like the BBC, ITV, C4, C5, BT Sport, TF1, Fox Sport, Canal +, and Telia Media Group.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Terri Davies is SVP Content & Media Services at Anuvu. She oversees all aspects of the end-to-end media supply chain including the acquisition of content, rights management, programming, post production which includes compliance, edit, and localization, metadata, transcode and delivery.

Prior to this, Davies was at Deluxe Entertainment as SVP & GM; MediaCore where she was focused on digital and business transformation, and before that was EVP, Business Operations at Sony Pictures. At Sony Pictures, Terri was responsible for the global consolidation of Non-Theatrical, Home Entertainment and Television operations, localization and distribution and also drove the Company’s digital transformation as the business owner for the joint development of Sony Pictures and Sony DADC’s digital supply chain platform. At Sony Pictures, Davies was a mentor for the studio’s Leadership program, a Board Member for Women in Technology Hollywood and is currently an active member of BAFTA Los Angeles and also a judge for BAFTA’s Student Film Awards. Terri also mentors at USC Marshall Business School and San Diego State University and is a judge for USC’s International Case competitions.

Simon Eldridge is a co-founder and Chief Product Officer at SDVI. He is responsible for the definition, strategic direction and growth of all product offerings. SDVI Rally is the first and leading cloud-native media supply chain management solution, driving agility, efficiency, and business growth in major media organizations worldwide.

Across 20 years in both Europe and North America, Simon has established an extensive track record building and managing successful software and SaaS product lines at leading vendors in the media and entertainment space. He is a firm believer in cloud-native architectures transforming technical operations and improving operational efficiency. Simon also understands the value of solid relationships in making transformation successful.

Evan Statton is Principal Architect for Media & Entertainment at AWS, where he specializes in enabling live broadcast television production and distribution in the cloud. Prior to joining AWS, he was a systems architect for NBCUniversal, where he led the design of television distribution and control systems delivering channels over the air, to MVPDs via satellite and terrestrial connectivity and mobile and connected devices. Statton also spent nearly four years at Major League Baseball, where he was a broadcast test and integration engineer. There, he managed deployment of video distribution systems at more than 75 remote locations.
