CBS And Tegna Renew Affiliation Agreement

Nearly 11 million television households across 11 markets are covered in the new multi-year deal.

CBS Corp. and Tegna Inc. today announced a comprehensive, multi-year deal that renews station affiliation agreements for 11 Tegna markets nationwide, including two top 10 markets — Washington and Houston. The 11 markets renewed cover 10% of the U.S. audience and nearly 11 million households.

Tegna CBS affiliates are also locally available to subscribers of CBS All Access, the network’s subscription video on demand streaming platform.

The agreement includes renewals for: WLTX Columbia, S.C.; WFMY Greensboro, N.C.; KHOU Houston; KTHV Little Rock, Ark.; WMAZ Macon, Ga.; WWL New Orleans.; KENS San Antonio, Texas; KREM Spokane, Wash.; WTSP Tampa, Fla.; KYTX Tyler, Texas; and WUSA Washington.

CBS And Tegna Renew Affiliation Agreement

10 million television households across 10 markets are covered in new deal, which also includes the launch of CBS All Access.

CBS Corp. and Tegna Inc. today made a comprehensive deal that renews station affiliation agreements for 10 Tegna Media markets nationwide. The markets renewed cover over 9% of the U.S. and serve more than 10 million households.

The new deal also includes Tegna’s participation in CBS All Access, the company’s digital subscription, video on demand and Nielsen-measured live streaming service. The addition of all Tegna CBS-affiliated stations will expand the live linear feed coverage of CBS All Access to 85% of U.S. households by year-end.

The agreement includes renewals for Tegna-owned CBS affiliates: WUSA Washington, D.C.; WTSP Tampa, Fla.; WFMY Greensboro, N.C.; KTHV Little Rock, Ark.; WLTX Columbia, S.C.; WMAZ Macon, Ga.; KREM Spokane, Wash.; KHOU Houston; KENS San Antonio, Texas; and WWL New Orleans.
