Fox Florida GM Allyson Meyers Leaving

The head of the group’s WOFL-WRBW Orlando and WOGX Gainesville has resigned to devote herself to a “family situation.”

Allyson Meyers, the VP-general manager of Fox Television Stations’ WOFL (Fox)-WRBW (MNT) Orlando, Fla. (DMA 18) and WOGX Gainesville, Fla. (DMA 157), has told her staff that she is leaving.

Her memo:

“With the beginning of a new fiscal year, it is with mixed emotion and reflection, I have decided the time is optimal to resign my position as your VP and General Manager. I regret that a family situation requires me to make this difficult decision.

“Before I leave, I wanted to take a moment to tell you all how very proud I am to have worked with all of you.

“I want each of you to always remember how much we have accomplished in the last seven years as a team. Those achievements are the result of your effort and talent and I know you are all destined to continue to do great things in the communities Fox 35 serves.

“While I will be moving back home to South Florida shortly, I leave knowing that my successor, to be named, couldn’t ask for a more capable, knowledgeable and committed team to rely upon.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

“Wishing you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.”
