TVNewsCheck’s offer to post free job ads on its MediaJobCenter job board during April got a huge response from TV operations and stations.
Openings poured in from large, medium and small markets all over the U. S.
Over 80 TV jobs were posted during the month, a record, covering every job category in broadcasting at every level in station operations. From the corner office of the general manager to the edit room in news, from in front of the camera and behind, from engineering to IT, you name it, broadcast companies and TV stations submitted employment opportunities.
Here’s a list of major broadcast companies that took advantage of the offer:
- Fort Myers Broadcasting
- Morgan Murphy
- Allen Media
- Standard Media
- California Oregon Broadcasting.
Every ad placed included videos and pictures of the newsroom, market or both.
And every job opening and the market that got featured in the Market Share Monday columns also appeared on TVNewsCheck’s home page.
The Market Share Monday columns were then shared on various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, where they garnered even wider exposure.
Feedback from corporate and station HR managers overwhelmingly mentioned how great the ads looked:
I love your help wanted ads. Very classy with the info on the towns and cities, etc.
Many also commented on how fast the ads were posted:
Thanks again for doing this so quickly!
Thanks for your help during this challenging time.
But alas, the free ad offer ends on April 30.
Starting May 1, TVNewsCheck’s MediaJobCenter will return to paid advertising for placing classified ads at its normal rates: $249 for two weeks and $349 for four weeks. Contact Paul Greeley at 817-758-6324 or [email protected].
