Marquee, Low Country Media to Swap LPTVs

Low Country 34 Media and Marquee Broadcasting today announced an agreement to a swap stations.

Low Country will be acquiring WEVD-LP Dover, Del., serving Philadelphia in exchange for WHDC-LD Charleston, S.C.; WSCG-LD Beaufort, S.C.; WGCB-LD Savannah, Ga., as well as cash considerations.

Lowcountry 34 Media is based out of South Carolina and led by Jeffrey and Janet Winemiller. The Winemillers own and operate several other media-related companies.

Marquee Broadcasting was founded in 2013 and operates 10 stations in eight markets, primarily in the southeast. The addition of the Savannah DMA will be their fourth DMA in Georgia joining stations in Atlanta, Albany, Cordele and Macon.

Greg Guy of Patrick Communications represented Low Country 34 Media as the exclusive broker in this transaction.

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2020 pending regulatory approval.
