Two Key Hires At WTVD Raleigh-Durham

Darren Pieh has been promoted from local sales manager to general sales manager, and Craig Anderson has been hired for the newly created position of director of content development.

ABC-owned WTVD Raleigh-Durham, N.C. (DMA 25) has made two executive appointments.

Darren Pieh has been promoted from local sales manager to general sales manager, and Craig Anderson has been hired for the newly created position of director of content development.

Prior to joining WTVD in 2009, Pieh was local sales manager and national sales manager at WWJ Detroit. He has a degree in broadcast and communication from the University of Toledo, with an emphasis in PR/marketing.

As director of content development, Anderson will oversee all multi-platform content. He comes to the station from the School of Media and Journalism at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was project director for the UNC Center for Innovation & Sustainability in Local Media.

Prior to digging deep into how digital has transformed local media, Anderson was an executive producer for Prodigal Pictures, where he produced title sequences, promos, and commercials for clients including FX, National Geographic and the Science Channel. He worked with Prodigal Pictures after many years of producing shows for companies such as Glassman Media, Ryan Seacrest Productions, LMNO Television, Lion Television and more.
