WSCG Savannah Sold For $2.6 Million

Lowcountry Media sells the Georgia multicast affiliate to Phillip Falcone’s HC2 Holdings.

Lowcountry Media is selling independent WSCG Baxley-Savannah, Ga. (DMA 93) to HC2 Holdings for $2.6 million. WSCG airs programming from Heroes & Icons, Cozi TV, Heartland and The Justice Network.

Lowcountry is led by CEO Jeffrey Winemiller and also owns WLYH Lancaster, Pa.

HC2 Holdings, through HC2 Broadcasting owns 14 full-power stations, 52 Class A stations and 98 LPTV stations.

Greg Guy of Patrick Communications brokered the deal.

Use to be a CW station in Savannah before they lost it to WSVU NBC which is on there .2.
