BNC Partners With CBS Media Ventures To Strengthen Direct Response And National Ad Sales

BNC (formerly known as Black News Channel), has reached an agreement with CBS Media Ventures to augment the network’s direct response and national advertising sales team. The agreement establishes a greater sales footprint for BNC, which already has sales offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Moving forward, CBS Media Ventures will provide BNC with increased representation for direct response advertising agencies as well as enhanced engagement with national brands. The partnership is aimed at generating more spot advertising and sponsorship opportunities for brands looking to connect with BNC’s inclusive audience and align with the network’s mission to inform, entertain and empower.

Princell Hair, president-CEO of BNC, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with CBS Media Ventures and extend our sales team with the reach and depth of their relationships throughout the advertising community. Most importantly, their team is aligned with our values, they understand why we exist and want to help drive our vision. Connecting with a demographic that has more than $1.3 trillion in annual spend presents significant opportunities, and we’re looking forward to working with CMV on building value for brands that want to engage with BNC.”

Steve LoCascio, President of CBS Media Ventures, said: “We could not be more excited to have BNC join our family of programming that appeals to the African American consumer. We look forward to connecting BNC with our advertiser partners as a network providing programming that is informative, educational, entertaining and inspiring, and most importantly always remains true and authentic to the Black experience in America.”

On March 1, BNC introduced the first edition of its revamped programming lineup with Start Your Day with Sharon and Mike,” featuring experienced anchors Sharon Reed and Mike Hill. The all-new morning show airs weekdays 6-10 a.m., covers breaking news, politics, celebrities, business, social justice and more topics important to Black and Brown viewers. BNC intends to debut additional new programming in the coming weeks featuring notable hosts including Charles Blow, Marc Lamont Hill, Yodit Tewolde and more nationally influential voices.
