Canela Media Appoints Oscar Padilla SVP Of Commercial Operations

Canela Media, a minority-owned tech company “committed to redefining digital media experiences for the Hispanic community,” today named Oscar Padilla senior vice president of commercial operations. In this role, he will apply his background in digital media ad operations, advertising technology and data solutions to oversee Canela Media’s ad operations. Padilla will report to Canela Media Founder-CEO Isabel Rafferty Zavala.

“Oscar joins Canela Media with impressive experience in operational leadership and industry transformation,” Zavala said. “His expertise in digital media and track record throughout his career make him the perfect addition to the company as we continue to evolve our commercial offering for clients.”

Prior to joining Canela Media, Padilla was SVP, global head of customer success and strategic partnerships at BrandTotal Inc. where he was part of the management team overseeing the client success operations delivering social media ad performance solutions to global clients across the U.S., Mexico, the U.K. and Israel.

Padilla also was senior vice president, digital national sales and business development at Entravision Communications, where he led early efforts that helped propel the company into a digital-first media company overseeing the national digital division, which drove revenue growth across video, mobile, social and content channels. Over the course of his career he has also held business, leadership, marketing and consulting roles at Vertis Communications, Hitachi Consulting, Mindshare Interactive Campaigns and Blackboard.
