Bob Hesskamp, EVP engineering, WarnerMedia; Mike Kralec, VP technical operations and deputy CTO, Sinclair Broadcast Group; Jeff Birch, VP operations, CBS Owned Stations; Sam Peterson, GM, core business unit, Bitcentral; and Joe Addalia, director of technology projects, Hearst Television, will join moderator Glen Dickson, TVNewsCheck contributing editor, for the panel discussion at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 23.

The discussion will explore how station groups see opportunities in moving operations into the cloud, from hubbing playout and master control to transforming news workflows and preparing for NextGen TV. It will assess the technology and financial implications of a move, in whole or in part, to the cloud, along with the viability of private clouds or public cloud alternatives.

“Senior media industry executives know the cloud will affect their companies’ future, but they don’t know how, and they don’t know what kinds of financial and strategic decisions they will need to make about migrating to the cloud,” said TVNewsCheck Publisher and Co-Founder Kathy Haley. “With this important panel, we hope to provide some guidance to CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CROs and others in senior executive and also management ranks.”
