COVID-19 has been an accelerant for many dynamics reshaping television, and Radha Subramanyam, chief research and analytics officer at CBS Corp. and president of CBS Vision, has been tracking its key trends in audience behavior, analytics and advertising. She’ll share her latest insights as the keynote interview subject at TVNewsCheck’s TV2025: Monetizing the Future, presented virtually as part of the NAB Show New York Oct. 20-23.

Subramanyam will be interviewed by TVNewsCheck Editor Michael Depp on Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. ET.

Subramanyam oversees all research and analytics operations for CBS, including audience measurement, analytics, market research, program testing and advertising research. She has extensive experience in research and data analytics in all areas of the industry, including broadcast, cable and digital, as well as radio and social media.

“The pandemic has drawn surging audiences to streaming, upended TV’s advertising sales and reset audience expectations for news content, among numerous other changes it has wrought,” Depp said. “Radha is the ideal keynote interview given the vantage point from which she’s been observing these tectonic shifts, and she brings a long industry perspective and impeccable reputation for her research and insights.”

Other TV2025 panels will include Leadership in a Time of Accelerated Change; Optimizing Audiences: Turn a Short-Term Bump Into a Long-Term Trend; Is NextGen TV Ready for Primetime?; Remote Workflows & the Future of TV Station Operations; Bolstering the Local and Regional Content Pipeline; Optimizing Spot TV in a Challenging Economy; and IP and the Cloud: A Roadmap for Future Revenue Opportunities.

TVNewsCheck will also present its Station Group of the Year Award to NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations in a ceremony that will include an interview with the group’s president, Valari Staab, on Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. ET.

Attendees will participate in live, daily, two-hour sessions on Zoom Webinar, where they can pose questions to speakers, participate in live audience polling and wrap up the day with half-hour, open-mic Roundtables on key issues. They can also participate in conversations on the TV2025 Chat Channel on NAB Show New York’s virtual conference platform, where attendees can also attend sessions presented by NAB and visit a virtual exhibition.
