Kristie Gong Promoted To KCRA-KQCA Director Of Research And Programming

Hearst Television’s Sacramento, Calif., duopoly of KCRA (NBC) and KQCA (MNT) has named Kristie Gong director of research and programming.

She has been the stations’ research director for the last 14 years, assisting in the transition to impression-based selling, providing market research for advertisers and advising, evaluating new and emerging attribution tools.

“For over 14 years, Kristie has provided meaningful contributions to the station that led directly to our growth and continued strength,” said KCRA-KQCA President and General Manager Ariel Roblin. “Her commitment to KCRA/My58 combined with her expertise in research and programming, supports data driven decision making and strategic planning into the future. Above all, her passion for our community is contagious and helps drive our mission of service for our hometown.”

Gong said: “It’s been a privilege to lead KCRA’s research efforts and I look forward to expanding on that success with this newly formed department. I look forward to using my 20-plus years of media experience in serving our community to continue finding the highest quality news and programming, which will help uphold our position as a ‘legacy station’ into the future.”

The director of research and programming leads the department and provides training and development opportunities for the team.
