NBCU Taps Carrie Stimmel As New Chief Growth Officer For Olympics & Paralympics

In addition, Josh Noval is promoted to senior vice president, Olympics & Paralympics.

Today, NBCUniversal Advertising & Partnerships announced Carrie Stimmel as the new chief growth officer, Olympics & Paralympics. In this role, she will be responsible for “seeking innovative ways to fully monetize NBCUniversal’s Olympic and Paralympic business interests.”

NBCU also announced Josh Noval’s promotion to senior vice president, Olympics & Paralympics, Advertising & Partnerships. Both roles sit within the company’s Global Advertising & Partnerships division and report directly to Dan Lovinger, president, Advertising & Partnerships.

“Carrie’s passion, expertise and advocacy for the Olympics and Paralympics business brings tremendous value to our team, our clients and our partners,” Lovinger said.

Stimmel’s role will span the evolution and oversight of NBCUniversal’s media sales through the 2032 Games to the development of Sponsorship Sales for Team USA and LA 2028, through NBCUniversal’s partnership with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Properties Group.

Prior to this role, Stimmel was executive vice president, Advertising & Partnerships, NBCUniversal where she led sales teams in building One Platform partnerships with an additional focus around Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Universal Kids, Telemundo and Universo properties. During Stimmel’s time at NBCU, she has played an integral role in the organization’s sales and marketing operations by taking the power of live events and creating experience spaces like BravoCon, People’s Choice Awards and more.

Prior to NBCUniversal, Stimmel was vice president, network sales, Univision Communications, where she was involved with Univision’s 2014 World Cup sales efforts.

Before joining Univision, Stimmel helped lead Nickelodeonadvertising sales as vice president.

Josh Noval has more than 18 years of experience in Olympics sales and marketing. In his promoted role as senior vice president, he will be responsible for overseeing all Olympic and Paralympic related cross-platform media sales for NBCUniversal, shaping NBCU’s go-to-market strategy with clients and agencies while managing day-to-day sales activities.

Previously Noval was NBCU vice president of Olympics & Paralympics Advertising & Partnerships, where he partnered with advertisers to generate hundreds of millions of dollars in new TV, digital and social Olympics deals for all of NBCUniversal’s coverage of the Summer and Winter Olympics since the Athens Olympics in 2004.
