Neal Davis Tapped To Be WTNZ-WKNX GM

Lockwood Broadcast Group is moving him from Wichita, Kan., to lead its Fox-indie duopoly in Knoxville, Tenn.

Lockwood Broadcast Group has named Neal Davis the new general manager of WTNZ (Fox) and WKNX (independent) in Knoxville, Tenn. (DMA 60). He succeeds Bryce Caldwell who left in February.

Currently the GM of Lockwood’s KAKE Wichita, Kan., Davis will return to the market where he guided WBXX (CW) and WKNX, also under Lockwood.

Davis brings more than 25 years of experience as a broadcast television executive, including GM roles at WLFL and WRDC in Raleigh, N.C., and WMBD and WYZZ in Peoria, Ill.-Bloomington, Ind.

“We are pleased, fortunate and grateful to have Neal bring his exemplary leadership back to Knoxville,” said Lockwood President Dave Hanna. “In a first for our company, I get to announce the same name as GM for a third time. I trust that says all anyone needs to know about our confidence in his ability to deliver.”
