Station Trading Roundup: 2 Deals, $3,190,000

The purchase of WWCP Johnstown, Pa., from Horseshow Curve Communications by Cunningham Broadcasting tops the latest list of TV station transactions submitted to the FCC for its approval, according to BIA Advisory Services.

WWCP-TV Johnstown, PA — PRICE: $2,850,000 BUYER: Cunningham Broadcasting (Michael Anderson, president) SELLER: Horseshoe Curve Communications (Elliot Evers, president) FACILITIES: DTV Ch 8, 9.300 kW, ant.1,207 ft. AFFILIATION: FOX COMMENT: The Seller, Horseshoe Curve Communications’ Peak Media of PA provides programming to and sells advertising for Palm Television LP’s WATM-TV/Altoona, PA as per a March 11, 1996, interim operating agreement and owns the WWCP-TV antenna. This agreement provides for the purchase by buyer of the FCC licenses with respect to WWCP-TV, all rights, title and interest of Peak in the interim operating agreement, the Fox Affiliation Agreement, the WWCP Antenna and certain related assets of the stations owned by seller.
