WICT Announces 2021 Rising Leaders

Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced the 220 designees of its 2021 Rising Leaders Program (RLP), which is comprised of industry professionals primarily at the manager and director level who have demonstrated strong leadership potential within their companies.

With regard to the safety and well-being of individuals, WICT said it continues to monitor policies and procedures, including those from the CDC and local authorities, surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and a return to in-person events. To protect the safety of participants, the April session of RLP will be conducted virtually, with a planned return to live, in-person sessions in October and November.

The top candidates were designated based on an established selection process led by over 100 cable professionals, themselves alumnae of the program, who served on the 2021 Application Review Committee.

The Rising Leaders participate in an intensive immersion program, which prepares them to undertake increased leadership responsibilities when they return to the workplace. The program is comprised of leadership analysis, high-performing teams and tactical personal leadership skill development. RLP participants will also create and manage their own personalized professional development plans.
