Former Today host Tamron Hall is developing a syndicated daytime talk show after striking a deal with Disney ABC. Hall, who has been the host of Investigation Discovery’s Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall since 2013, has inked a development holding agreement with the Hollywood studio.

‘Bachelorette’ Finale Hits Season High
The Bachelorette drew a 1.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers across its three hour broadcast. That is up nearly 40% in the demo versus last week and over 20% in total viewers. It was down approximately 14% in the demo and 12% in total viewers, however, compared to last season’s finale.

FX Networks CEO John Landgraf sees no end in sight to the growth of scripted TV production. During his Friday appearance at the Television Critics Association press tour, Landgraf gave a midseason update to his company’s annual tally of dramas, comedies and limited series in productions, and the arrow is still pointing up, as it has been since 2010. Through the first six months of 2018, 319 scripted series have been produced, up 5% from the same period a year ago. Much of the growth is propelled by the robust output of Netflix and other streaming services.
