NBCLX Now Available On The Roku Platform

Today’s launch includes the debut of LX News, a weekday newscast targeted to Gen Z and millennials.

Beginning today, NBCLX, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations’ TV and OTT network designed for adults 18-45 is now available on the Roku platform. NBCLX’s Roku launch expands its reach to households with an estimated 100 million people. The network’s reach already includes mobile, online, linear TV, cable and dMVPD platform users.

NBCLX made its debut for U.S. audiences as a digital news brand in September 2019 and as a linear/streaming network this June 1 with the launch of LX News a live program that airs Monday to Fridays at 8-10 a.m. and 8-10 p.m. ET across OTT, mobile, linear and cable platforms.

Based out of NBC’s KXAS and Telemundo’s KXTX in Dallas-Fort Worth, NBCLX targets Gen Z and millennials by presenting news in what it calls “an entirely new way and delivering storytelling that is personal, inspiring and thought-provoking.”

Beginning today, Roku audiences across the U.S. will be able to watch the following NBC LX original programs:

  • LX News — 20 hours of live weekday news programming that feature an innovative storytelling approach to news that is personal, inspiring, thought-provoking, and community focused. NBCLX Storytellers Jobeth DeveraClark FourakerAshley HoltTabitha Lipkin, and Nik Zecevik are providing context to the day’s news and are connecting with audiences by empowering them to take part in the conversation.
  • LX Presents — Daily and weekly specials that feature LX documentary stories, explainers and robust storytelling from NBC owned TV stations and NBC News digital.

NBCLX also features programming from Jukin Media, Tastemade, The Dodo and Storytelling Spotlights from The New York Times video journalists.
