Streaming Summit Returning To NAB Show New York

The Streaming Summit, a two-day event that focuses on the business and technology of OTT video, will once again join the NAB Show New York conference. The Streaming Summit is co-produced by streaming industry expert Dan Rayburn and will be held Oct. 16-17 at the Javits Convention Center.

The Streaming Summit will feature leading OTT platform experts, broadcasters, publishers, advertisers and developers speaking about the challenges and opportunities in packaging, monetizing and distributing online video. Attendees will learn how about the capabilities of direct-to-consumer (DTC) offerings and hear how some of the largest companies in the world are monetizing their video library and building a brand relationship with their customers.

Technical discussions will focus on how to deliver the best viewing experiences across packaging content, transcoding, media management, playback, and analytics.

Via one-on-one fireside chats, best practices presentations and curated sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from more than 100 speakers, with last year’s lineup including executives from Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, NBC Sports, Disney, CBS Interactive, Discovery, AT&T, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Roku, NBA, FOX Sports, Sling TV, Comcast, Fubo TV, Viacom, Washington Post and many others.

“The adaptation of digitally-driven distribution is imperative to our industry and we are excited to again provide our NAB Show New York attendees with unique, executive insight on how to bolster their online video services and platforms,” said NAB EVP of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “The Streaming Summit is the premier environment to gain a competitive edge in today’s rapidly evolving multiscreen environment.”

The Streaming Summit will showcase and discuss the current monetization models for video, the packaging and playback of content, and highlight the best technical implementations of the video stack”, said Dan Rayburn, Streaming Summit chairman.
