TVNewsCheck Launches Video Site

TVNewsCheck.com/Video, easily accessible from the main news website, spotlights regular series like Talking TV and How To while organizing a large library of videos into playlists such as Media Company Management, Optimizing Revenue, Electronic Journalism and Media Technology.

TVNewsCheck has introduced a video website designed to make it easier for busy executives, managers and professionals to find the content they are interested in. The news organization, which specializes in continuously updated business news for the television broadcasting industry, has been ramping up its video production since 2020, accumulating a rich library of video resources.

The new site organizes content into a single, easy-to-access database by category, with playlists on topics ranging from Media Company Management, Optimizing Revenue and TV Programming to Electronic Journalism, Media Technology, TV Production Innovation and TV Marketing.

Featured on TVNewsCheck.com/Video are:

  • Talking TV, a weekly series featuring smart conversations on the business of broadcasting;
  • How To, an occasional series spotlighting experts who have mastered key industry challenges.
  • Short videos highlighting TVNewsCheck editorial features like Executive Session and Newsroom Innovators.
  • Working Lunch Webinars, videos of TVNewsCheck events held live on Zoom. These include an Optimizing Spot TV series focused on expanding ad revenue and another series on technology issues, such as migrating to the cloud, remote production and the transition from hardware to software.
  • Videos of TVNewsCheck events, including Streaming News 2021, TV2025: Monetizing the Future, NewsTECHForum and the annual Women in Technology Awards;
  • Sponsored videos from companies marketing services and solutions to TVNewsCheck’s audience.

“Video content has been an increasingly important facet of our editorial coverage at TVNewsCheck, and this new site facilitates access to our steadily growing library,” said Michael Depp, TVNewsCheck’s editor. “Its clean, streamlined design makes our video content easy to access and uncluttered to watch. It’s just what we need as our video production continues to expand.”

Kathy Haley, TVNewsCheck’s co-founder and publisher, added: “We’ve been hearing from readers who want to catch up on recent videos but don’t know where to find them. Now, instead of having to search TVNewsCheck’s Vimeo or YouTube channels, readers can click on the TVN Video button on TVNewsCheck’s main navigation bar and see featured videos, recent videos, sponsored videos and the list of playlists.”
