ViX, TelevisaUnivision’s Streamer, Named Apple TV App Of The Year

ViX, TelevisaUnivision’s streaming service launched this year dedicated to Spanish-language content, was named Apple TV App of The Year as part of Apple’s 2022 App Store Awards that spotlights the best apps of the year. For over a decade, Apple has honored the best apps and games for delivering exceptional experiences to users across Apple devices and making a profound cultural impact.

Launched this summer, ViX has connected with audiences through diverse storytelling, values and tradition, providing local creators a platform to realize their ambitions through engaging original content. Exclusively serving Spanish speaking communities, the platform offers an unprecedented 50,000 hours of free and paid premium content across genres including movies, comedy series, novelas, drama series, children’s content, and sports programming.

This year, ViX secured exclusive rights to stream the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 to its Mexico-based audiences, in addition to offering of 6,000 hours of live soccer in the U.S including every match from UEFA Champions League and exclusively selected Liga MX games.
