DESCRIPTION:TVNewsCheck is working with the Broadcast Education Association to present the 2020 Disrupt the News Challenge as a webinar\, most likely in May.  \nDisrupt the News Challenge\, produced by TVNewsCheck and the Broadcast Education Association (BEA)\, asks student journalists to show broadcasters how young people want to see the news presented. Members of the Radio Television Digital News Association judge entries\, which are produced in the fall. \nThe 2020 Disrupt the News Challenge winners were to have appeared at BEA’s 2020 conference and talk about their videos in a panel session moderated by TVNewsCheck Editor Michael Depp. \nGiven that the National Association of Broadcasters convention and the co-located BEA Conference have been cancelled\, TVNewsCheck is working with BEA to present the 2020 winners in conversation with Depp in a webinar. \nWe are working now to schedule that webinar and anticipate it will not happen before May or June\, given that students needed to move home and engage in distance learning. \nMore on the Disrupt the News Challenge. \n
