Prime Focus Technologies, the technology arm of Prime Focus, has partnered with Virtual Artificial Intelligence, a U.K.-based provider of AI solutions. The partnership is focused on delivering practical, affordable AI solutions to media and entertainment (M&E) enterprises, and simplifying business processes through process automation.

The collaboration will leverage PFT’s transformational Clear Media ERP suite that automates the content supply chain, and Virtual AI’s two decade-long experience in the AI sector; to develop new innovative offerings for M&E companies. Virtual AI works with structured and unstructured data, including documents, images, video, audio, databases, APIs, web-based client server and legacy business applications.

These capabilities will help PFT enhance the AI component of its innovation roadmap. The announcement of this collaboration comes close on the heels of the launch of PFT’s latest solution, Vision Cloud — a media recognition platform that builds Machine Wisdom from artificial intelligence to transform business operations.

“We are thrilled to team up with a like-minded organization like Virtual AI who shares our passion for innovation and disruptive thinking,” said Ramki Sankaranarayanan, founder and global CEO, PFT. “We look forward to jointly tapping the potential of AI and automation to deliver solutions that help M&E enterprises increase efficiencies, reduce cost, and improve time-to-market.”

“Our aim at virtual AI is to demystify AI for clients, and deliver cutting-edge, affordable AI solutions. PFT’s longstanding expertise in automation technology, coupled with their innovative Vision Cloud offering make them an extremely valuable partner for us,” said Ian Whitfield, founder, virtual AI. “We are very excited to be showcasing our joint capabilities at an event like IBC.”

As part of the partnership, PFT and Virtual AI will jointly collaborate on sales efforts, frontline/backline consultancy, and co-development of custom solutions.
