The Local Media Association is looking for a progressive, digitally-savvy executive to join the team as Chief Programming Officer. This person will lead and manage some of LMA’s experiential events and programs, including Innovation Missions, Chief Digital and Content Clubs, conferences and webinars. This leader will also oversee the Local Media Resource Center, a partnership with Facebook, Instagram and CrowdTangle.
The ideal candidate will have strong newspaper and/or broadcast experience on the digital side of the business. They will be especially strong on revenue growth initiatives, but will also have a thorough understanding of audience and content trends. They should be up to speed on emerging opportunities such as OTT, voice assistants, data strategies, consumer revenue models, etc., as well as core areas such as digital marketing services, programmatic advertising, ad fraud, podcasting, video strategies and more. Finally, they should be well connected in the industry and familiar with the work of LMA.
