WDJT-TV, Weigel Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking for an Assistant News Director.

In this role, you will work closely with the News Director to lead the operations and editorial content of the newsroom.
Must have excellent news judgment and be able to meet deadlines, communicate effectively, adapt quickly and implement change while under pressure.
Mentor producers and reporters, manage scheduling, plan event coverage, update workflows for efficiency, and have a creative approach to breaking and multiplatform news.
Must have a strong news background with experience successfully leading and cultivating a driven, positive culture equally focused on growth and development of team and product, a commitment to serving a diverse audience, and a clear understanding of journalistic ethics and laws.
