Adam Kuperstein To Anchor WNBC 11 A.M. & 5 P.M. Weekday News

NBC-owned WNBC New York (DMA 1) today announced that Adam Kuperstein has been promoted to a new anchor role this October. He will lead the station’s 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekday newscasts from WNBC’s 30 Rockefeller Center studios and will transition from his current work as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter.

“Adam has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, both as an anchor and a reporter. His leadership skills at the desk and his relentless curiosity in the field will make us better in our day-to-day news coverage especially during breaking news situations,” said Amy Morris, WNBC VP of news.

Kuperstein has covered many of the Tri-State’s most memorable news stories since joining WNBC three years ago.

Prior to arriving in New York, Kuperstein worked as a weekday news and sports anchor for WTVJ Miami for more than a decade. At WTVJ, Kuperstein covered three presidential elections and reported from the 2012 presidential debate at Lynn University. He also led the station’s sports coverage, including live reports from the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Kuperstein has also worked as the weekend sports anchor for WUPW Toledo, Ohio, as well as at WHIZ Zanesville, Ohio.

Kuperstein is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and earned a dual bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and finance.
