Anchor-Reporter Scott Carpenter Joins KCCI News
Hearst-owned CBS affiliate KCCI Des Moines, Iowa, has added anchor-reporter Scott Carpenter to weekend mornings. Carpenter will anchor KCCI 8 News Weekend Mornings. He takes over from Tisia Muzinga, who moved to an anchor role weekdays on KCCI 8 News This Morning.
Carpenter is moving to central Iowa from western Georgia, where he’s been the sports director of WLTZ Columbus, Ohio, since 2017. After growing up in Westerville, Ohio, Carpenter was on the Heidelberg University golf team and honored with several student awards.
Carpenter will begin his new role at KCCI in December.
