Andrea Flores Joins KCRA News As 10 P.M. Anchor

Hearst-owned NBC affiliate KCRA Sacramento, Calif., has hired Andrea Flores as a 10 p.m. anchor. Her first day will be Dec. 6. Flores will join Brian Heap, Mark Finan and Del Rodgers on the KCRA 3 News at 10 p.m. on co-owned MNT affiliate KQCA.

Flores most recently worked at KCNC Denver as an anchor and reporter, where she was part of the launch of the station’s digital news streaming service. Before that, she was an anchor and reporter at KMTV Omaha, Neb.; KOLN Lincoln, Neb.; and KVII Amarillo, Texas.

Flores started her career as a producer and news associate at KCBS and KCAL in Los Angeles.

She is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, where she earned a degree in communications and media studies.

Flores is bilingual in English and Spanish and she is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. She is a two-time Emmy nominee and a recipient of the Marsha Bangert Williamson Memorial Award from the National Federation of the Blind.
