Angie Goff Promoted To Evening Anchor At WTTG

Angie Goff today was promoted to weekday evening anchor at Fox-owned WTTG Washington.

Effective Nov. 30, she will anchor the hour-long weekday FOX 5 News at 10 p.m. with Jim Lokay, the half-hour FOX 5 at 6 p.m. alongside Blake McCoy, as well as continue to co-anchor the hour-long 5 at 4 p.m. weekday newscast with Blake McCoy. In addition, Goff will remain one of the rotating panelists to appear on the station’s Like It Or Not, weeknights at 7 p.m.

Goff joined WTTG in July 2019 as co-anchor of 5 at 4 p.m., a daily panelist on Like It Or Not, and reporter for the Fox 5 News at 10 p.m. In March 2020, she moved to fill in as the 6 a.m. through 9 a.m. hours of Good Day DC, while maintaining her role as anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast.

Prior to joining the station, Goff served as a weekend morning anchor and reporter for WRC Washington, where she also contributed to NBC’s Today and filled in as a host for Early Today and MSNBC.

Previously, Goff was a multimedia journalist at WUSA Washington. Before that, she served as an investigative reporter and anchor for WIS Columbia, S.C.

Earlier in her career, Goff worked as a morning anchor and reporter for KMEG Sioux City, Iowa.

A graduate of George Mason University, Goff holds a Bachelors of Arts degree.
