Brandice Bailey Named WITI News Director

The former assistant news director at WIS Columbia, S.C., is tapped by Fox Television Stations to oversee journalism at its Milwaukee O&O.

Brandice Bailey today was appointed vice president and news director of Fox-owned WITI Milwaukee. Effective Sept. 19, she will oversee all editorial, business, and administrative functions for WITI, reporting directly to Chuck Steinmetz, WITI senior vice president and general manager.

Most recently, Bailey has been assistant news director for WIS Columbia, S.C. Previously, she was executive producer for various stations, including WTVJ Miami, KPIX San Francisco and KRIV Houston.

Prior to that, Bailey was a producer for CNN International in Atlanta, KRON San Francisco, KTNV Las Vegas, KVBC Las Vegas and WDEF Chattanooga, Tenn.

Earlier in her career, she was an anchor and executive producer for WPGA Macon, Ga., and a sports anchor and reporter for WDHN Dothan, Ala.

A graduate of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga., Bailey holds a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications.
