Christine Cruz Named WXII News Anchor
Christine Cruz has joined Hearst-owned NBC affiliate WXII Winston-Salem, N.C., as an anchor. She joins co-anchor Talitha Vickers and meteorologist Michelle Kennedy for the 4 p.m. newscast and co-anchor Kenny Beck and chief meteorologist Lanie Pope for the 10 p.m. newscast on co-owned The Triad CW.
Cruz, a 24-year veteran journalist, comes to WXII from WSVN Miami where she was weekday morning anchor.
She has a master’s degree in global strategic communication and is bilingual in Spanish.
Cruz will begin her on-air duties on Tuesday May 4.
