CNBC Names Emily Wilkins as Washington D.C.-Based Correspondent

By A.J. Katz

CNBC announced Monday morning that Emily Wilkins is joining the network as a correspondent in the Washington, D.C. bureau covering Congress, key regulatory issues and policies that impact American businesses and the economy.

Wilkins arrives at CNBC from Bloomberg Government, where she covered Congress with a focus on House leadership. She previously covered education and labor for both Bloomberg Government and CQ Roll Call.

“Emily is an ideal addition to our DC bureau that consistently distinguishes itself with sharp analysis and breaking news coverage on everything from this year’s banking crisis to trade wars to cybercrime,” CNBC Business News svp Dan Colarusso stated in a note to staff. “Her expertise will be especially important as we expect tech regulation, antitrust policies and, of course, budget wrangling to continue to lead the CNBC news cycle.
