David Williams New WCVB Weekend Evening Meteorologist

David Williams will join Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate WCVB Boston as meteorologist for its weekend evening newscasts.

He joins NewsCenter 5 weekend evening anchors Nathalie Pozo and Shaun Chaiyabhat beginning Saturday, Aug. 20, replacing Mike Wankum who was recently promoted to StormTeam 5’s weeknight meteorologist.

Williams began his career as the weekend meteorologist and multi-media reporter at KAMR Amarillo, Texas. He then was promoted to a full-time meteorologist position at WRIC Richmond, Va.

He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and received a B.S. in meteorology with a minor in theater.
