Fox News Signs Ashley Strohmier As Overnight Anchor

Fox News Channel (FNC) today named Ashley Strohmier as an overnight anchor and news correspondent. Based out of the network’s headquarters in New York City, Strohmier will begin her role on March 2.

Since 2013, Strohmier been a general assignment reporter and anchor at KMIZ Columbia, Mo., covering crime as well as state and local politics. In 2014, her in-depth reporting on the state’s Department of Social Services resulted in lawmakers opening an investigation into the agency’s practices, earning her an award from the Missouri Broadcasters Association.

More recently, Strohmier was once again honored by MBA with the Best News Anchor award in 2019 for her work as an evening news anchor. Throughout her tenure with the station, she also held additional titles, including as solo anchor for News This Morning, which she also produced, anchored and managed its daily content.

Prior to KMIZ, Strohmier was a host for KQFX Columbia, Mo.

A graduate of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Strohmier received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

In 2010, she was crowned Miss Missouri USA.
