Isabel Peralta-Hill To Join WNJU News Team

Telemundo’s WNJU New York has name Isabel Peralta-Hill a full-time general assignment reporter. Her first day is Monday, Oct. 10.  Her first on-air appearance is expected later this month.

Freddy Oldenburg, WNJU vice president of news, said: “Isabel is an exceptional journalist and takes great pride in her work.  For nearly two decades, she has covered stories large and small from coast-to-coast, including the Tri-State. She will be a wonderful addition to our news team and look forward to her live reports,” said.

Peralta-Hill joins WNJU from co-owned WXTV New York, where she had been a freelance reporter since 2019.  Throughout her career, she has covered breaking news from around the region including the COVID-19 outbreak, the murder of George Floyd and local protests for racial equality, as well as the catastrophic flooding stemming from Hurricane Ida.

Prior to her local work, Peralta-Hill was a freelance reporter for WNJU’s sister station WSCV Miami. She also held reporting roles at KWHY Los Angeles; KDTV San Francisco; KFTV Fresno, Calif.; KSVN Salt Lake City; and KSVN and KUTH in Salt Lake City where she began her career.

A native of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Peralta-Hill is fluent in both Spanish and English. She earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic journalism from the University of Utah, and a master’s degree in motion picture-tv production from the Academy of Art University.
