Jose Pagliery Joins WXTV As Investigative Reporter

Univision-owned WXTV New York (DMA 1) has hired Jose Pagliery to lead its investigative unit, Univision Investiga.

He will conduct special reports and break stories that impact the Hispanic community across all platforms. In his role, he will also contribute to Noticias Univision 41 “A Tu Lado” (Univision 41 On Your Side), a segment aimed to protect Latinos in the New York City area from fraud and other crimes.

“Jose is a world-class investigative journalist, experienced in covering important domestic and international issues. His brave and honest reporting on the Mexican drug trade and the founding of ISIS, as well as on major national security breaches here in the United States, make him uniquely qualified to join our top-tier roster of journalists at Univision New York,” says Roberto Yañez, WXTV president-GM.

“The addition of Jose Pagliery to our team will reinforce our consumer and investigative units and will continue strengthening our ‘A Tu Lado’ brand. Pagliery was most recently at CNN International and CNN en Español, where he was an investigative reporter for four years. He previously worked as a reporter at The Miami Herald, Atlanta-Journal Constitution and South Florida’s Daily Business Review.

In 2011, Pagliery earned a Green Eyeshade Award, which recognizes the best journalism in the southeastern United States.
