KPRC Adds Lisa Hernandez To Morning Newscast

Graham Media’s NBC affiliate KPRC Houston (DMA 8) has hired Lisa Hernandez to co-anchor KPRC 2 News Today with Owen Conflenti. Current plans have Hernandez on the air in early June.

Hernandez is a familiar face in Houston; she was a KHOU anchor for eight years. She recently took time off after the birth of her second child.

Hernandez moved to Houston in 2011. The Southern California native earned her political science degree at UCLA, before making the move to broadcast television as a producer at KESQ Palm Springs, Calif. She then moved on to be a reporter at News 14 Carolina, before joining KABC Los Angeles as an anchor/reporter.
