KTTV Going All Out With Emmy Coverage
Fox-owned KTTV Los Angeles (DMA 2) plans a big Emmy celebration leading up to the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards on Fox on Sept. 22. On Friday, Sept. 20, Good Day LA Live at the Emmys will air at 7-10 a.m., as the station unwraps Fox 11’s custom purple Emmy platform in the middle of the red carpet. The team will break down all the big categories and celebrity surprises live from the Microsoft Theater.
On Emmy day, programming will start with Fox NFL Coverage and Fox 11 Sports Wrap, followed by the Fox 11 Live at the Emmys party. KTTV anchors Elex Michaelson and Christine Michaelson will be live from the red carpet with special guest host and entertainment anchor Mark Steines, Good Day LA’s Julie Chang and Rita Garcia and KTTV special correspondent and Variety Senior Correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister, providing expert Emmy analysis and predictions for the night.
The team will be speaking with TV’s big stars on the red carpet, talking fashion and predictions, and hanging out with Emmy fans in the grandstands.
After the Emmys rebroadcast on KTTV at 8 p.m., Fox 11 News with Michaelson and Michaelson and the Emmy team will have the final word on all the big winners along with highlights from Hollywood’s biggest awards parties.
It caps off an entire week on KTTV dedicated to the Emmys with its weekly community affairs program, Fox 11 News in Depth, and KTTV70 exploring the rich history of TV’s biggest night.
