KXLY Adds Nia Wong To Evening Anchor Desk

On the heels of the launch of a new state-of-the-art news set and a complete rebrand, Morgan Murphy Media’s ABC affiliate KXLY Spokane (DMA 77) has hired a new evening news anchor.

Nia Wong will anchor the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts, alongside anchor Aaron Luna, chief meteorologist Kris Crocker and sports director Keith Osso.

Wong will also do investigations and special reports.

She comes to KXLY from KLAS Las Vegas where she was a morning reporter and weekend morning anchor. Her career has also included stops in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Eugene, Ore.

Wong has a degree from University of California, Irvine.

She is active in the Asian-American community and after graduation, spent time teaching and working in education in South Korea.


Wong makes her KXLY debut on Monday, Aug. 19.
