Leslie Rangel Joins KTBC As ‘Good Day Austin’ Anchor

Fox-owned KTBC Austin, Texas (DMA 40), has hired Leslie Rangel to co-host Good Day Austin alongside Dave Froehlich and Amanda Salinas with meteorologist Zack Shields and Jane Lonsdale reporting on traffic

Most recently, Rangel was an evening anchor and reporter at KWKT Waco, Texas. Prior to that, she was a reporter and fill-in anchor for KXAN Austin, KFOR Oklahoma City and KFDM Beaumont, Texas.

While in college, Rangel was chosen to be an intern for KTBC, generating weekly story ideas for Good Day Austin.

A graduate of the University of Texas, Rangel holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in journalism and liberal arts.
