Maria Perez Joins KBLR Las Vegas As Weather Anchor

Telemundo’s KBLR Las Vegas has hired Maria Perez as weather anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas on weekdays at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m. Her on-air debut will be this week.

“We are thrilled to have Maria at the forefront to inform our viewers about the important changes in weather and keep them safe,” said Ramiro Lopez, President and General Manager of Telemundo Las Vegas. “She is the perfect complement to our committed newsroom, which takes pride in offering accurate live and local weather reports to the Southern Nevada community in Spanish.”

Perez joins Telemundo Las Vegas after working as a weather anchor for Telemundo’s KTLM McAllen, Texas, from 2018 to 2021. Previously, she was with Entravision Communications in McAllen, Texas, serving as a bilingual weather anchor at KNVO (Fox) and KTFV-CA(Univision).

Perez is working on her meteorology degree at Mississippi State University.
