Mel Watson Named WTVG News Director
Gray Television CBS affiliate WTVG Toledo, Ohio (DMA 78) today appointed Mel Watson news director.
She joins the WTVG team after working at stations in Indiana and Ohio for the past three decades.
Watson graduated from Ball State University in 1988. Her journalism career began in Ft. Wayne, wove through Indianapolis, went north to Cleveland, and now across the turnpike to Toledo.
During her career, Watson has both produced and managed newscasts. She’s also led an award-winning team of investigators.

Isn’t WTVG an ABC affiliate (and a one-time ABC O&O to boot)? (Then again, WNCN Raleigh was once an NBC O&O and is now a CBS affiliate.)
