Melissa Hall Named KHBS-KHOG Weekday Morning Traffic & Breaking News Anchor

Melissa Hall

Hearst Television’s ABC affiliates KHBS-KHOG Fayetteville, Ark., have appointed Melissa Hall weekday morning traffic and breaking news anchor for 40/29 News Sunrise. Hall joins anchors Yuna Lee, Phil Reed and weather anchor Majestic Storm, weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m. on KHBS-KHOG and 7-8 a.m. on subchannel The Arkansas CW.

This is a homecoming for Hall, as she grew up in Arkansas, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology at Mississippi State University.

Viewers will recognize Hall from her time spent on air at other stations in the Fayetteville-Fort Smith market before her most recent stop, Hearst Television’s WJCL Savannah, Ga. While in Savannah, Hall worked as a meteorologist for three years while also producing weekly segments featuring local teachers. Hall will join the 40/29 News Sunrise team later this month, while also filling in as meteorologist.
