Nicole Oliverio Joins WFXT Boston News

Cox Media Group announces that Nicole Oliverio will join its Fox affiliate WFXT Boston (DMA 9) starting Jan. 4.

Oliverio will co-anchor the weekend evening newscast, Boston 25 News at 10 and 11 p.m., alongside Chris Flanagan. She will also report weekdays for Boston 25 Morning News.

Oliverio has spent the last 11 years reporting and anchoring in Boston at WHDH. Prior to this role, she worked at WINK Fort Myers, Fla.; WCAX Burlington, Vt.; and WMDN Meridian, Miss.

An Emmy-award winning journalist, Oliverio has received recognition for her work from the Associated Press and the National Academy of Television, including best feature and general news, continuing coverage and general assignment reporter.
