Noticias Telemundo Presents ‘Los Votantes Latinos’ Digital Special

With Latino voters poised to hold the potential swing vote in key races in this year’s midterm elections, Noticias Telemundo will stream a digital special hosted by anchor Julio Vaqueiro exploring the demographics within the Latino electorate and the issues motivating voters.

The first episode of the two-part special, Los Votantes Latinos, or Latino Voters, will be available to stream beginning at 7 p.m. ET on NoticiasTelemundo.com and Noticias Telemundo’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels.

Vaqueiro, along with Noticias Telemundo reporters and guest correspondents, will examine the issues resonating with Latinos across the country and delve into new polling from Noticias Telemundo and NBC News highlighting the diversity and nuance of Latino voters.

The special focuses on how Hispanic voters define what it means to be Latino and looks at efforts by the Republican Party to make inroads with Hispanic voters, plus other issues. It will feature interviews with Jennifer Lopez, popular radio host Enrique Santos, professional boxer Jesse Vargas and others.

The special follows the return of NBC News and Telemundo’s Plan Your Vote and Planifica Tu Voto initiative — a comprehensive, state-by-state guide of information voters need to know about the voting rules where they live and major changes since the 2020 elections, including registration deadlines, mail-in voting, early in-person voting, and more.

The interactive tool has helped hundreds of thousands of visitors plan their vote for the 2022 midterm elections. The tool was built and is powered by the NBC News Data Graphics team, with data and information supplied by the NBC News Decision Desk and politics team.
