Parquet-Taylor Named KCBS-KCAL News Director

CBS Television Stations moves Andrea Parquet-Taylor from Dallas to oversee journalism for its Los Angeles broadcast and digital properties.

Veteran local television and news executive Andrea Parquet-Taylor has been named vice president and news director at CBS Television Stations’ local broadcast and digital properties in Los Angeles: KCBS, KCAL (Ind.), CBSN Los Angeles and CBSLA.com.

Parquet-Taylor assumes this new role after having been vice president and station manager at KTVT-KTXA-TV, the ViacomCBS-owned stations in Dallas-Fort Worth, since June 2018. Prior to that, she was vice president and news director at KTVT-KTXA since February 2017.

Prior to joining CBS Television Stations, Parquet-Taylor was the news director at WNCN Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; WXYZ Detroit; WRAL-WRAZ-TV Raleigh-Durham; and WMAR Baltimore.

Parquet-Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in communications arts and sciences from Michigan State University.
