Ramon Diaz Joins WRMD Tampa As News Anchor

Telemundo’s WRMD Tampa, Fla., has named Ramon Diaz news anchor for its weekday Noticiero Telemundo 49 newscasts at 6 and 11 p.m. His on-air debut will be May 17.

Diaz is an award-winning journalist with more than 20 years of experience in local television and has held several news and sports roles with increasing responsibility.

He began his career in television at KVEA Los Angeles as an associate news producer. He was also a sports anchor at KSTS San Jose, Calif., and most recently worked at KSTS Dallas-Fort Worth as a news anchor.

He earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from California State University Northridge.
